Take a look at this EpicTV video of what Adam Ondra refers to as “his hectic training period”- he climbs 6 or 7 days a week! And he manages to be a full-time student as well. For his “rest physically” he sits at school, which also gives him a nice mental break from climbing.

Adam Ondra admits that sometimes even he doesn’t feel like training, but he digs deep and motivates anyway. He loves climbing to the point where he can always find the energy he needs to get his training done. The crux of his training day is getting started.

That’s probably at least one thing we can all relate to, yeah?

As EpicTV describes the video:

Athletes like Adam Ondra aren’t simply born, they’re made. And as we’re about to discover, the making takes time, dedication and more than a dash of masochism. Adam has dedicated himself to pushing the sport of climbing further than it ever has been before. In the last two years alone, he’s established the world’s hardest sport climbs, onsighted 9a and won an unprecedented double on the world championship stage. None of this has happened by accident. It’s the result of a carefully planned training regime that takes up as much of his day as his University studies, often with less reward.

So check it out and get a glimpse of what training is like for Adam Ondra and how he makes it work with his busy schedule…
